What you can expect from anything Alterra publishes, and how to tell us when we fall short.

01 · Facts: Every number on this site links to its source or names it. If we can't point to it, we don't say it. Numbers carry the date they were taken.
02 · Evidence grades: Case files are stamped first-party, client-reported or result pending, so you know what kind of proof you're reading.
03 · Testimonials: Client words are quoted as published on third-party review platforms and linked there. We don't edit them.
04 · How we use AI: A small team sets direction and standards. Software and AI agents we built do research, production management, quality checks, scheduling, publishing and analytics. Some production steps use AI tools. People own every decision involving money, contracts or accounts.
05 · Sources: Then & Theory films cite how we know what we show. Reference images come from museum open-access collections and licensed sources.
06 · Sponsors: Sponsors fund films, not opinions. A sponsor can choose a topic area; the research decides what the film says.
07 · Corrections: If we got something wrong, write to [email protected]. We correct it and note the date of the change.
